On Friday, 16 millimetres of rainfall were recorded on Friday.

Chittagong, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Khulna experienced light to moderate rain.

Maximum rainfall of 135mm was recorded in Satkhira.

Rain shortened the first day of Mirpur Test between Bangladesh and England.

Meteorologist Abul Kalam Mollick said the possibility of rain on the second day is low.

"It may rain a little in Dhaka on Saturday but only in the morning," he said.

He said the forecast during the game is depending on the morning weather. The fresh forecast can be different than that issued 12 hours before.

He also said day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The Meteorological Department said the deep depression over west-central Bay and adjoining area has moved further west-southwestwards and is now seen as a low pressure area.

A trough from this system lies over North Bay, it said.
