OC Md Asaduzzaman and SI Amir Hamza of Narayanganj Model Police Station have been ordered to appear at the judicial magistrate court on Nov 1.

The two stand accused of torturing one Imrul Hasan Imran during remand granted over a motorcycle theft case filed on Sept 27.

The 25-year-old was arrested in the case on Saturday and remanded into custody on the same day.

“The court has summoned them over allegations that they burned his genitals with cigarettes and beat his posterior with a stick,” said court police SI Kawser Ahmed.

The arrestee, after spending a day in police remand, alleged torture before the court instead of providing a confessional testimony on Sunday.

The judge then ordered him to prison.

Meanwhile, OC Asaduzzaman, when contacted, claimed he knew nothing about the court’s order.
