One more victim hit by ambulance at DMCH dies

A person injured after being hit by a speeding ambulance on the Dhaka Medical College premises has died, taking the death toll to five.

Ramzan Ali, 30, a rickshaw-puller from Comilla, succumbed to his injuries around 2:30am on Friday, police said.  
 
DMCH Police Camp Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia told bdnews24.com Ali's ribs broke when he was hit by the ambulance on Oct 15.
 
The other victims of the incident included a woman, her minor child, and a six months pregnant woman.
 
Another person is undergoing treatment at the hospital, doctors said.
 
'Sohel', the helper of the driver, was behind the steering when the ambulance hit and ran over the victims.
 
He was caught and sent to jail after being grilled in police custody.
