The ministry said on Saturday if anyone needed to stay for urgent work, they will need to get permission from it in advance.

The Secretariat is a ‘restricted and sensitive’ zone, it said. No-one but the law enforcers can stay at the premises after office hours without prior permission at night.

The ministry also asked all the departments and other ministries to take steps to ensure that no staff stay in the Secretariat after office hours.
