Commonwealth Journalist Associations elects Saleh Choudhury as new president
Veteran journalist Saleh Choudhury has been elected the new president of the Bangladesh chapter of Commonwealth Journalist Associations (CJA) at a general meeting held recently.

He will replace former Associated Press (AP) Bangladesh Bureau Chief Farid Hossain.
Hossain recently took up his new diplomatic assignment as Minister (Press) at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi.
Choudhury, who was senior assistant editor of the now-defunct Dainik Bangla, had served as the vice president of the CJA Bangladesh chapter since its formation in 1997.
A columnist and a freedom fighter, Choudhury had attended the CJA’s Hong Kong conference in 1997.
