The stay order is valid until Oct 30, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam told bdnews24.com.

A five-member bench led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order on Sunday morning, in response to a government petition seeking a stay on the High Court bail order.

The former Awami League leader will remain in jail until the next hearing on Oct 30, Manna’s lawyer Idrisur Rahman said.

On Aug 30, the High Court granted bail to Manna in the case.
Manna was arrested on Feb 25 last year after two audio clips of his telephone conversations with BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka and another unidentified man were leaked.
They were heard discussing plans to engineer clashes at Dhaka University and incite the army to destabilise the government.
