A derailed carriage of a Dhaka-bound Panchagarh Express train was recovered and put back onto the tracks, allowing operations to resume
Due to the decision of Bangladesh Petrol Pump and Tank-Lorry Owners Workers Oikya Parishad, nearly 5,600 petrol pumps around the country stopped selling fuel from 6am on Sunday.
No fuel will be sold until 3pm, the platform’s Convenor Md Nazmul Haque told reporters.
Also, tankers and lorries are not transporting or supplying fuel, he added.
The owners and workers on Aug 20 had announced the strike to push for their demands.
