The reason behind the deaths could not be known immediately, they said.

The dwellers of the slum adjacent to Railway Colony called police after finding the bodies of Kamrul Islam, 35, and Nurul Absar Lucky, 32, in a room around 8pm on Thursday, Nizam Uddin, OC of Khulshi Police Station told bdnews24.com.

"There were no wounds on the bodies. But there was foam in their mouths," he said.

The bodies were sent to Chittagong Medical College mortuary for post-mortem examination.

Kamrul had resided in EPZ area with his wife while Lucky lived in Ambagan. Their father, a former railways staffer, had lived in the colony and illegally thrown up eight rooms in the slum.
Police said Kamrul would come to the slum every month to collect rent.
Sub-Inspector Shahadat Hossain said the brothers were day labourers by profession.
