PSC publishes final results of 35th BCS, recommends appointment of 2,158

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the final results of 35th Bangladesh Civil Service examinations.

It has recommended 2,158 for appointment to different cadres, Chairman Mohammad Sadiq told bdnews24.com on Wednesday.

He said results of 14 examinees will not be released for different reasons.

As many as 5,517 candidates have cleared written and viva tests.

A total of 6,088 had passed the written test.

The PSC in a circular on Wednesday said it had recommended 296 candidates of the 35th BCS for appointment to the administration cadre and 119 to police.

The results of forest cadres have been postponed due to legal wrangling.

The PSC said it could not recommend any candidate for 371 posts as no-one passed the tests for the technical and professional cadres.

It also said it could not recommend 3,359 for job due to a lack of posts.

They will be appointed to first and second class non-cadre ports if they apply.

After the PSC published the notice for the exams on Sep 23, 2014, as many as 244,107 candidates sat the preliminary test on Mar 6 last year.
