Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud caught napping in Parliament as Raushon speaks

When Leader of the Opposition Raushon Ershad was delivering her closing remarks in Parliament, her party minister Anisul Islam Mahmud was seen taking a cat nap.

In her address on Saturday, Raushon spoke on the problems plaguing ministries, drawing the attention of ministers to make them take remedial steps.

While speaking on her Jatiya Party’s Presidium Member Mahmud’s water resources ministry, Jatiya Party Senior Co-Chairperson Raushon demanded measures that would prevent river erosion.

She looked at Mahmud, seated on the left, to ensure the point was noted but found that her party colleague had dozed off.

“The minister is sleeping,” she said.

The remark made an embarrassed Mahmud sit up.
