Detective Branch Deputy Commissioner Md Shahidullah said that those arrested include HuJi's Dhaka metro North unit’s President Mawlana Nazimuddin.

The others have been identified as ‘Anas’, 21 and ‘Saiduzzaman’, 24.

The trio was produced before a Dhaka court on Friday, when police were given four days to question them in custody, said the police officer.

He said that the HuJI operatives had been ‘inactive’ for quite some time, but recently they have been trying to work things up by ‘motivating’ general people.

Shahidullah claimed they have obtained ‘important information’ regarding ‘regrouping’ from the three arrested militants.
