Outgoing Pakistan High Commissioner meets State Minister Shahriar Alam

Departing Pakistan High Commissioner Shuja Alam has paid a farewell call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam at his office.

During Monday’s meeting, the foreign ministry said, the high commissioner “deeply appreciated Bangladesh’s socio-economic development and the warmth and hospitality of the people of Bangladesh”.

He also expressed his gratitude to the government for “all the support” extended to him during his duties in Dhaka.

The state minister wished his good health and more advancement in his career.

Shuja Alam had been summoned on several occasions by the foreign office  during his tenure as Dhaka, Islamabad relations witnessed a low in recent years following Bangladesh’s war crimes trial.
