But she would not say what those ‘surprising information’are midway through the inquiries.

Speaking at a media call at her Ganabhaban official residence on Sunday, she asked journalists not to try to tease out investigation details.

She said the government has reached an understanding with India and the US over the sharing of intelligence and assistance.

Hasina said the Gulshan cafe attack has tainted Bangladesh’s image in the global arena.

“It was meant to create panic, but life goes on.”

The media call was convened over the prime minister’s Mongolia visit, where she attended the ASEM meeting.

It is the first time Hasina has faced the media after the terror attacks in Gulshan and Sholakia.

She had made a televised address to the nation after the Gulshan attack.

A journalist asked to know about the progress of investigations into the Gulshan and Sholakia attacks.

“You (journalists) will be surprised (to know about the findings) when the investigations end,” Hasina replied.

“But I can’t say how much headway has been made in the investigations. The investigations will end here if I tell you now. So, I am letting you know as much as is necessary,” she said.

“Many stages of the investigation are yet to conclude. We are completing them and finding (those behind the attacks).”

“And when we successfully complete the investigation, you will be surprised to see the findings, to know how they did it,” she added.
