Islamic Foundation fixed the anti-militancy ‘Khutbah and Bayan’ (sermons) for the Friday prayers following the attacks in Gulshan and Sholakia.

Hafez Maulana Mohiuddin delivered the sermon at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.

The theme of the Islamic Foundation sermon was ‘Raising awareness against violence, militancy and terrorism’.

It sent Arabic and Bangla versions of the sermon to all the mosques.

Foundations’ Director General Shamim Mohammad Afzal told bdnews24.com after the prayers that they wanted the Imams to speak against militancy in the sermons.

Islami Oikya Jote leader Maulana Wasel conducted the prayers at a mosque in Old Dhaka’s Lalbagh.

He said he delivered a speech against militancy before the ‘Khutbah’.

Ahsan Ullah, who took part in the prayers in Keraniganj, said the imam of the mosque had also delivered an anti-militancy sermon.

The two-page sermon of the Islamic Foundation has also shed light on care about children.

Many of those who carried out the recent attacks were youths missing for months.
