Gulshan hostage crisis in pictures

Security personnel take positions in Dhaka’s upscale Gulshan area after some armed gunmen developed a hostage situation at a local café. At about8:45pm on Friday, the group comprising armed gunmen barged into Holey Artisan Bakery screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’, said a few people who managed to escape from the café. Security agencies believe that up to 20 people may have been held hostage inside the café.
