Locals at Gulshan hear shots being fired
Residents of Gulshan in Dhaka say they have heard shots being fired in the area.

The shooting started near Holey Artisan Bakery, Lakeview Hospital and Nordic Club at Gulshan-2 around 9:15pm on Friday, they said.
A bdnews24.com journalist who was in the area said he heard at least 50 shots.
He also saw police approaching the area at around 9:45pm.
“We can’t understand what’s happening. We are hearing repeated shots from near the lake,” he said.
A staff of a diplomatic mission who lives close to the place told bdnews24.com that he had also heard shootings.
Gulshan Police Station Sub-Inspector Jahid told bdnews24.com that police were on their way to the spot.
“The incident is not clear to us yet,” he said.
A bdnews24.com photojournalist said he saw police barricades on the streets leading towards the area.
