Blood-spattered body of ‘missing’ youth found in Jhalakathi

Police have recovered the body of a man who had reportedly gone missing in Jhalakathi Sadar Upazila.

The remains of Mohsin Hawlader, 30, were found at Dariapur village in the Upazila’s Nabagram Union on Friday morning, Sadar police Inspector Md Mahe Alam said.
 
Mohsin was the son Mosharraf Hawlader, a local resident. Police suspect an old rivalry to be the reason behind the murder.
 
Alam told bdnews24.com that the victim’s related had said Mohsin had been missing since he left home on Thursday evening. Locals called police on finding his body in the morning, lying in an empty space near his home.
 
He said the body bore wounds inflicted by sharp weapons.
 
The remains were sent to the Jhalakathi Sadar Hospital for autopsy, he added.
