Police press charges on seven people in murder of Italian citizen Cesare Tavella
Police have brought charges against seven people, including former BNP ward commissioner MA Kayum in the murder of Italian national Cesare Tavella in Dhaka last year.

Dhaka metro police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said that the chargesheet has been submitted to a Dhaka magistrate court on Monday.
He told bdnews24.com that all the accused except two, including Kayum, are now in police custody.
Aid worker Tavella was shot dead at Dhaka’s Gulshan diplomatic zone on the evening of Sep 28, 2015.
Police arrested four suspects on Oct 24 and all of them confessed to the killing in their statements recorded in front of a magistrate.
The fifth suspect, Kayum’s brother Matin, was arrested on the night of Nov 4 from the bordering town of Benapole in Jessore.
