Death toll in Uttara elevator mishap rises to six
The elevator mishap at a shopping mall in Dhaka has claimed another life, taking the death toll in the incident to six.

Five persons died on the spot and scores were injured when a wall crashed on them on impact of an elevator collapse that also set off a fire in the high-rise building in Dhaka’s Uttara locality.
Mahmudul Hasan, 36, succumbed to his burn injuries around 5am on Saturday while being treated at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
“He suffered 80 percent burns due to the fire that broke out after the incident,” said DMCH police outpost’s Sub Inspector Bachchu Mia.
