The parcel arrived on Wednesday evening and also contained two jihadist books, she told bdnews24.com.

She said the leaflet reads: “War crimes trial is wrong and these are political murders.”

Mujahid was hanged on Nov 22 for executing mass murders including those of intellectuals, scientists, academics and journalists in 1971.

He was the secretary general of Jamaat-e-Islami, a key ally of BNP.

Tarana attended a demonstration near BNP chief Khaleda Zia’s house in Gulshan in December last year against Khaleda’s doubt over the number of Liberation War martyrs.

About the parcel, Tarana said, “This might have been sent to frighten or disturb me. But I am not afraid of such things.”

She said police from Gulshan station came and collected the parcel.

Tarana had earlier received death threats at least twice.
