The union published a report on its Updating Red List of Bangladesh project on Wednesday.

According to the report, 390 of 1,619 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, freshwater fishes, crustaceans and butterflies in Bangladesh are threatened.

Of them, 56 species are critically endangered.

The report said 31 species are already extinct.

The previous ‘red list’ was made in 2000 for the first time.
