Twenty-four students received medals, certificates and a Tk 100,000 cash reward from the premier during a ceremony on Sunday at Dhaka’s Osmani Memorial Auditorium.

“I think the children of our country are the most talented. But they need to be given the right opportunity,” Hasina told the audience.

She congratulated the winners and participants of the contest organised by the education ministry.
Hasina said the ‘future of Bangladesh’ was right in front of her.
“And the future of Bangladesh is indeed bright,” she added.
Students from across the country took part in the contest in three groups—Grades VI to VII, Grades IX to X, and XI to XII.
The contest was held in four categories—language and literature, science, mathematics and computers, and Bangladesh studies and Liberation War.
The education ministry has been organising the contest since 2013. As many as 200,000 students participated this year.
