Man shot dead in Pabna while putting up posters for UP polls

A man is said to have been shot dead in the northern district of Pabna while putting up posters for the upcoming Union Parishad (UP) polls.

Police said that the incident occurred after 10am on Sunday in the Gayeshpur union, near Pabna town, which is scheduled to go to polls on May 28.
 
The victim has been identified as Abdur Rahim. 
 
“Unidentified men opened fire when Rahim along with some others were putting up posters for a candidate,” said Pabna police OC Abdullah Al Hasan.
 
Rahim died on the spot, he added.
