Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina back in country after Bulgaria visit

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has returned to Dhaka after a four-day visit to London and Sofia.

The flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage landed at the Shahjalal International Airport at 6.10am on Saturday.

Hasina left Dhaka on Sunday to attend the Global Women Leaders’ Forum at the Bulgaria.

She made a two-day stopover at the British capital before arriving Sofia on Wednesday.

Before joining the Forum, the prime minister had a meeting with the Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev.

Then she delivered her speech as the keynote speaker at the forum.

On Friday, Hasina met Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in  a bilateral meeting that led to the signing of three MoUs and one agreement to bolster cooperation between the two countries.

The prime minister also met a delegation of Bulgarian businessmen, besides receiving non-resident Bangladeshis living in the country.

She also visited the Museum of National History in Sofia.

On Friday, Hasina was invited to an official lunch hosted by the chairperson of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, Tsetska Tsacheva.
