bdnews24.com correspondents from a number of districts reported demonstrations on Friday demanding action against those involved in the incident.
Journalist Kamal Lohani at a programme in Narayanganj demanded resignation of Jatiya Party MP Salim, a member of the district’s influential Osman family.
Salim’s younger brother AKM Shamim Osman is a ruling Awami League MP.
In Jessore, Ekattorer Ghatak-Dalal Nirmul Committee leader Shahriar Kabir said in a discussion that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should make a decision on the Osman family.
“A compromise of morality on the issue will be suicidal for the country,” he warned.
