The man, identified as 38-year-old Zou Jian Hui, was held from a Prime Bank ATM booth at the city’s Elephant Road, said the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

The booth’s security personnel informed bank authorities after Hui was taking unusually long time to complete transaction inside the booth, Dhaka-based RAB 2 chief Lt Col Mohiuddin told bdnews24.com.

He said that the foreigner withdrew all together Tk 66,000 through several ATM cards in his possession.

Prime Bank authorities informed the RAB after which he was nabbed from the booth, said the RAB official. “We are yet to be sure whether the cards found on him were issued by overseas banks. He is being quizzed.”
