Truck runs over police constable in Dhaka
A police constable has been killed in Dhaka after a truck ran over him.

The accident took place early on Monday at the city’s Jatrabarhi area.
Forty-year-old Delwar Hossain, a traffic constable, was hit by a truck near a gas station while he was crossing the road, said Assistant Police Commissioner (Traffic) Md Alamgir Hossain.
“He was about start his day’s duty when the Narayanganj-bound truck hit him.”
Locals rushed him to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead, said the police official.
Jatrabarhi police OC Anisur Rahman said that the truck managed to escape.
