Government revises office timings for Ramadan

Office timings during Ramadan have been fixed between 9am and 3:30pm on all working days.

The decision was taken on Monday at the Cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told a press briefing.

He said that new timings will be effective for all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous offices during the Ramadan, which is starting by the end of first week of June.

There will be a 15-minute break from 1:15pm for the Zuhr prayers during office time, he added.

But the Supreme Court, banks and other financial institutions will be free to decide their own working hours.
