Police arrest four over arson in Sundarbans
Police in Bagerhat have arrested four persons over the recent fires in the Sundarbans, which the forest department suspects were acts of arson .

They have initiated legal proceedings against it.
Police said the four—identified as Rustam Hawlader, Nazrul Islam, Sohel Hawlader and Ishak Howlader— were arrested on Sunday in separate raids at the district’s Sharankhola Upazila.
This takes the number of suspects arrested over the fire to five.
Sharankhola police OC Shah Alam Miah said that they have been shown arrested in the Apr 19 case filed by the forest department.
In the last one month, four incidents of fire have been reported from the forest’s Chandpai Range. Authorities initiated three cases over the incident claiming they were acts of arson.
