Heat wave sweeping over Bangladesh to spread to new areas

The almost unbearably hot and dry weather scorching parts of Bangladesh is expected to spread to newer areas, the Met Office predicts.

While the Kushtia region can expect extreme heat, a mild heat spell is predicted to sweep across Dhaka, Tangail, Khulna and Rajshahi.

The weathermen predict a general rise in day time temperature across the country with little or no change in night time temperatures.

Rain and thunderstorms have been predicted in Sylhet, Chittagong, Tangail and Mymensingh areas for Saturday.

Parts of Sylhet can expect heavy showers.

Overcast condition may prevail over some parts of the country but a dry spell is expected in most other parts.
