The main gas supply line to Narsingdi was damaged during construction work on a drain, according to Titas Gas authorities
Md Osman, 40, was working on the ninth floor of the 13-storey building on Sunday morning when he lost balance and tumbled down , police said, citing his co-workers.
He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died around 9am, Assistant Sub-inspector Sentu Chandra Das of the hospital police camp told bdnews24.com.
Osman’s body has been kept at the hospital morgue, he said.
“Someone from Osman’s village works at the construction site. Once he comes to the hospital, we can know about the victim’s address.”
