WaterAid has launched its new five-year strategy for Bangladesh with a focus on reaching everyone with improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).

This strategy document will guide its works from 2016 to 2021 in line with the new sustainable development goals that recognise WASH a development issue.
Visiting CEO of WaterAid Barbara Frost at the launching, on Thursday in Dhaka, urged the government, development partners, sector actors and civil society to act on strengthening WASH sector of Bangladesh.
She said they had kept Bangladesh’s present development context in mind while making this strategy.
Additional Secretary Roxana Quader at the health ministry was present among the senior government officials at the launch.
