HSC candidates protest before Dhaka City College
More than 100 candidates taking the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams are demonstrating before Dhaka City College at Dhanmondi.

Last year, the HSC examination centre for Dhaka City College was set at an adjacent institution, Government Laboratory School.
But this year, the candidates will have to go to Residential Model College for their exams.
Quoting some protesting candidates, bdnews24.com Photographer Tanvir Mahmud, who witnessed the demonstration, said that the students had met their principal following the news of changes in the seat plans.
The principal asked for some time, he added.
Since their demand was not fulfilled within the determined time, the candidates have launched a public protest.
The demonstrations have halted traffic on one side of Mirpur Road. Police forces with water cannons have been deployed to control the situation.
