Over 1.65 million students were taking the exams across Bangladesh beginning Monday.

“We’ve taken adequate measures, so we’re hopeful that it won’t be possible to leak question papers,” said minister Nurul Islam Nahid, while visiting an examination centre at Tejgaon Government Girls’ School in the morning.

The Education Ministry said it was taken as a challenge after questions for various public examinations were leaked in the past two years.

“BTRC (Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission) will take action if fake question papers are released on Facebook. Please do not lend an ear to rumors … don’t make the mistake.”

The education minister urged teachers to be more responsible in evaluating answer sheets.

“We’re not under any pressure over low success rates. Give them the points they actually deserve. Do not give them more or less than that.”

“They’ll have to face actions if they do not do their job properly.”
