Three children killed after they were kidnapped separately

Police in Tangail have found bodies of two children who were kidnapped from an adjacent area at Dhamrai two days ago.

Locals discovered the bodies in a lemon plantation at Moyurbhanga and informed police on Friday, Mirzapur Police Station OC Md Mainuddin told bdnews24.com.

The victims are Shakil Mia and Imran Hossain, both students of grade four at a school in Dhamrai.

The OC said the captors had slit their throats after the ransom they had demanded was not paid.

In Rangpur, the body of Rahimul Islam Ranak, aged four and a half years, was found in a sack nearly two months after his abduction.

The body was recovered from a field at Tepani Pathar in Mithapukur Upazila on Fridayt night, Kotwali Police Station OC Abdul Kader Jilani said.

He was kidnapped from his house at Adarshaparha in Rangpur City.

The OC said his father Mosaddek Hossain Ranga had filed a case against his cousin Mobashsher Alam over the abduction on Dec 3.

He alleged Alam had held his child hostage following a dispute over payment.
