Grameenphone’s Head of External Communications Syed Talat Kamal told bdnews24.com that Tahkeek resigned around three weeks ago.

Mujahid’s son had for long served at the Grameenphone’s “Stakeholder Relations Department”.

He was transferred to the “Infrastructure Service Department” as a specialist in June. A Grameenphone official said it was a junior post.

Talat Kamal claimed that Tahkeek had voluntarily resigned and that there was no pressure on him to do so.

Mujahid was executed in the early hours of Sunday for the war crimes committed during Bangladesh’s Liberation War in 1971.
