Hasan Mahmud says 150 Bangladeshi citizens stranded in Myanmar will return by ship
The dead has been identified as Chhoton Saha, 40, son of Nikhil Saha of Majhiara village. He used to deal in building materials in a local market.
“A group of robbers swooped on Chhoton’s house on early Friday and hacked him to death, tied up his wife, and fled with cash and jewellery,” Nabinagar police OC Md Imtiaz Ahmed told bdnews24.com.
The family could not given any indication of the amount of cash and jewellery robbed, police said.
The body has been taken to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
