Judges sign review verdicts of death-row war criminals Salauddin Quader, Mujahid

The Appellate Division judges, who on Wednesday rejected the review petitions of death-row war crimes convicts Salauddin Quader Chowdhury and Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, have signed the verdicts.

An official at the Supreme Court registrar's office told bdnews24.com about the matter on Thursday.

The apex court official said after 6:15pm the verdicts would be published on the court's website shortly.

Senior BNP leader Chowdhury and Jamaat-e-Islami  Secretary General Mujahid are lodged in Dhaka Central Jail.

Now the jail authorities will read out the verdicts to the convicts when they

reach the jail and ask them if they will seek mercy from the president.

Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha headed the four-strong bench that dismissed their petitions.

The other members of the bench were Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana, Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, and Justice Hasan Foez Siddique.
