The ITEC programme has been New Delhi’s flagship foreign training scheme since 1964.

As part of its foreign policy to improve relations in South Asia, India draws a large number of young working professionals in the private and government sectors from across the world and trains them under ITEC in 48 selected institutions each year.

Bangladesh is one of India’s “principal ITEC partners”.

More than 200 students get scholarships every year for graduate, post-graduate and doctoral studies in India through the ICC programmes.

The High Commission said Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will join the celebrations at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.

Apart from those who studied in India under scholarship schemes, 400 youths who visited India in the last four years as part of 100-member youth delegation’s annual tour are also expected to congregate there.
