Kunio Hushi was gunned down on Saturday, allegedly by the radical Islamic State, in the northern district of Rangpur where he was living a simple life running a grass farm.

The murder shook the diplomatic community in Bangladesh as it was second of its kind assasination of a foreign national in the country within a week.

The Japanese embassy asked Bangladesh journalists to

*Refrain from video-filming or taking pictures of Japanese embassy staff visiting Rangpur for telecasting or publication because of the security risks involved

*Avoid physical transgression of the limits set by the police at the spot of the murder for purpose of investigation

*Refrain from using the picture of Hoshi, especially those related to his murder, in due consideration to his family's request.

The Japanese embassy's request outlines its security concerns and that of a speedy and clear investigation.
