Hasina’s Protocol Officer Khurshid Alam handed the card to Ershad’s Assistant Private Secretary Md Monjurul Islam at the Parliament office in the afternoon.

Alam delivered the other card to Opposition Leader Raushon’s Assistant Private Secretary Sujaul Islam at her office.

A greetings card from the prime minister was sent to the BNP’s Naya Paltan headquarters in the afternoon.

Former prime minister Khaleda is currently in the UK for medical treatment. She will spend the Eid there with her eldest son Tarique Rahman.
