Police now say at least four killed in collision involving two buses and a truck in Sirajganj

A collision involving two buses and a truck has left at least four people killed at Tarash in Sirajganj after police revised the initial figure of five deaths.

The accident occurred in Khalkula on Natore-Bonparha Highway around 10:30pm on Tuesday, Tarash Police Station OC Aminul Islam told bdnews24.com.
 
The number of injured was 25-30, he said.

Of them, 17 were admitted to the Sirajganj Sadar Hospital. 

The OC earlier told bdnews24.com that he saw five bodies at the accident site.

Hatikumrul Highway Police and Sirajganj Fire Service joined Tarash Police in the rescue.

Hatikumrul Highway Police Station OC Abdul Quader Jilani said the bodies were taken to his station. 
The deceased could not be identified immediately.  
Sirajganj Fire Service Inspector Shafikul Islam said the 17 admitted to the Sadar Hospital were critically injured.
He said the accident took place when a Rajshahi-bound Deshbandu Travels bus and a Dhaka-bound bus of Vai-Bandhu Enterprise collided head-on.
The truck hit the buses after some moments leading to more devastation, he added.
