The High Commission of India in Dhaka along with Assistant High Commission of India in Rajshahi will organise the special camps in Panchagarh, Lalmonirhat and Kurigram districts on Sep 7 and Sep 8.

This is part of the implementation of the Land Boundary Agreement of 1974 and its 2011 Protocol.

As per the understanding reached between India and Bangladesh, all the identified Indian nationals will finally cross over to India through designated Check Posts by Nov 30 this year.

The first camp at Debiganj Upazila Rest House in Panchagarh District will be inaugurated by High Commissioner Pankaj Saran at 10 pm on Sep 7, the High Commission says.

India and Bangladesh in July carried out a joint survey to record the “choice of nationality” of 51,584 people in 162 enclaves in each other's territories --111 in Bangladesh and 51 in India.
