Woman killed, granddaughter injured in road accident in Dhaka’s Dayaganj
A woman has died after being hit by a bus in Dhaka’s Dayaganj while bringing home her granddaughter from school.

“The bus of Mishkat Paribahan hit them when they were crossing Dayaganj intersection on foot around 11:30am on Thursday,” Gendaria police SI Mohammad Azam said.
Her granddaughter sustained leg injuries in the incident.
The deceased is yet to be identified but her granddaughter six-year-old Nusrat Akhter is a grade one student of Dayaganj Government Primary School and her father’s name is Iqbal Hossain.
The on-duty policemen took them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The woman died while undergoing treatment there.
The driver had been detained along with the bus, SI Azam said.
