Kawsar Hossain Khan and Kamal Hossain, arrested on Aug 27, were presented before Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on Thursday after their five-day remand ended.

The case’s investigating officer, Detective Branch Inspector Mahmudur Rahman, had sought custody of the duo for another seven days.

But Magistrate Lutfor Rahman Shishir granted four days to question them.

Niloy was hacked to death at his east Goran residence in Dhaka on Aug 7.

He was the last of the four bloggers to have been murdered this year.

Niloy’s wife Asha Moni filed the murder case at Khilgaon Police Station accusing four unidentified persons.

On the night of Aug 27, police arrested Kawsar at Mirpur-10 and Kamal at Dholaiparh.
