Road accident in United Arab Emirates kills three Bangladeshis, injures two more

Three Bangladeshis have been killed and two others injured in a road traffic accident in the United Arab Emirates.

The deceased have been identified as Farhad Hossain of Chittagong’s Hathazari and ‘Aktar’ and ‘Ilias’ of Raozan.

The injured are ‘Belal’ and ‘Saiful’.

The accident took place around 7am local time on Wednesday in the Al Khazna area of the city of Al Ain, said Md Arman Ullah Chowdhury, the Counsellor (Labour) at the Bangladesh embassy in Abu Dhabi.

He told bdnews24.com two of the victims had died on the spot when the private car they were in overturned.

“Another died on the way to hospital. The two other injured have been admitted at the Al Ain Hospial in Abu Dhabi.”

They were out of danger, Chowdhury added.

All of them did different jobs in the UAE. The embassy official, however, could not provide details about their professions.

Chowdhury said the embassy already contacted the families of the victims in Bangladesh and the bodies would be sent back home after the formalities were over.
