Garments worker dies of electrocution in Chittagong
A garments worker has died from electrocution on her way to work in Chittagong’s Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) area.

The 20-year-old ‘Nurunnahar’ lived in Chan Mia Munshi Lane of the port city’s Chawkbazar area and worked for Well Group.
Her husband Omar Faruk Saiful told bdnews24.com: “On Tuesday, Nurunnahar was electrocuted when she stepped into a puddle of rainwater beside an electrical pole on the street. Locals took her to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.”
A nayek of the police outpost at the hospital, Md Hamid, said doctors declared her dead on arrival.
