Intern doctors at the medical college and hospital in Sylhet have demonstrated on Sunday demanding a raise in their allowance.

Services at the MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital were disrupted for three hours during the interns strike between 10am and 1pm.
The intern doctors’ platform President Md Mazharul Haque Amit said that they receive a Tk 9,790 allowance, which should be increased to a minimum of Tk 25,000.
He said that they have been demanding this for a while, but it yielded no results.
Around 180 interns participated in the demonstration, added Amit.
