‘Bomb-like substance’ found in Dhaka Medical College and Hospital
Police say they have recovered a bomb-like substance from the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

It was spotted on Thursday in a room meant for doctors at the hospital’s outdoor unit.
DMCH police outpost’s Inspector Mozammel Haque said a hospital employee, ‘Jasim’, who opened the room around 9am, informed others about the object.
“Police’s Bomb Disposal Unit recovered it around 10am. A bottle, suspected to contain petrol, was also found near the substance wrapped in a red tape,” said inspector Haque, adding that they were questioning the DMCH employee who spotted it.
