16 Bangladeshis receive Chevening Scholarship Award to study in UK
Sixteen Bangladeshis have received the Chevening Scholarship Award to study in the UK this academic year, a big increase compared to four last year.

The British High Commission said High Commissioner Robert Gibson hosted a reception for them at his residence on Wednesday.
Chevening is the UK government’s flagship international programme that allows “future leaders, influencers and decision-makers from around the world to learn, build on their experience and unleash their potential”, the High Commissioner said.
“They are joining an elite group of global future leaders,” he said.
“Chevening Scholars are the leaders that can shape tomorrow’s future.”
Gibson further said they would be the members of an exclusive club of over 40,000 Chevening alumni from over 150 countries “with the potential to change so much in the years to come”.
